African Workshop on Experimental studies of Language and Speech

This workshop aims at bringing together researchers working on language and speech from different fields for an event that will encourage multidisciplinary research to advance fundamental understanding in the field and encourage new contacts, ideas and collaborations. We will meet in the cultural capital of Morocco, Fes, a beautiful city with one of the largest pedestrian areas in the world where you can enjoy a walk in its narrow streets and be transported 1000 years back in time.
The First African Workshop on Experimental Studies of Language and Speech (AWESLS 2018) will be organized by the NGO Kalimat and hosted by Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Morocco, on May 11, 2018. The talks will focus on topics broadly defined as experimental studies of human language and speech.
We would like to invite you to submit your abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the workshop (20 min). The presentations should focus on topics broadly defined as experimental studies of human language and speech including (but not limited to) clinical linguistics, speech and language therapy, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, neuroscience of language, computational modeling of linguistic processes, neuropsychology of language, etc.
Please submit an anonymous abstract of 1 page in length, 12 point font, in Pdf format by email to awesls2018@gmail.com with subject 'abstract submission'. In the body of the email please include the following information: the abstract's title, name of the authors, affiliation.
