Event Date: 2020-01-15 Abstract Due: 2020-01-15

Chapter proposals are sought for a co-edited anthology on progressive social movements of the 1960s and 1970s in the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area. The volume is intended to bring together new and existing writings on St. Louis-area manifestations of a host of liberal and left-wing activist movements of the era—from the neighborhoods movement to gay liberation to civil rights and Black Power, student organizing to the environmental movement and antiwar activism, and beyond. The project currently is under advance contract with a university press, with an envisioned volume submission date for peer review in early 2021.

Short chapter proposals are due by January 15, 2020. Instructions for submitting a proposal, along with further details about the envisioned volume, can be found at https://tinyurl.com/STL-mvmts-anthology
