It is usual in some fields of knowledge that only finished works are brought to public, as if there was an obligation of completeness in the science method. In the Linguistics and Literature fields, we hardly see researchers dividing their partial results in journals, limiting the partial results and advances only to seminars and/or congresses.
On the one hand, this aspect may feature an identifying element of some fields, especially those related or linked to the consolidated academic traditions in Humanities - at least in Brazil. On the other hand, following the changes in the overall scientific practices of science, which currently seeks the return of its credibility and recognition not only from its peers, but also from the society, sharing partial results may foster more visibility to the publicity of ongoing research.
This change can make the connection of knowledge more responsive, helping researchers with suggestions and new perspectives from other colleagues on their objects of study and procedures, while contributing to the advances in the area, making their results reach other researchers faster.
Therefore, thinking on the construction of a new identity in the field, and aligning itself with the current scientific moment, the Journal De Letra em Letra, also following its tradition of interdisciplinarity within the great area classified by Capes as Linguistics and Literature, is receiving articles of research IN PROGRESS. Hence, if you and/or your research group carry out studies within one of the areas of the journal's scope and wish to show the partial results of your work, or if you and/or your work group are starting a research, please feel free to send us your article.
Translations of foreign articles related to the journal's major areas are also accepted. In this case, the translated text must be followed by the proper permissions from the author and/or the publisher where the original text was published.
Master's or Doctorate projects approved in Postgraduate selection processes will not be accepted.
