Keywords in Online Teaching and Learning (NeMLA Roundtable) (NeMLA 2021 Annual Convention )

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Organization: NeMLA
Event: NeMLA 2021 Annual Convention
Categories: Interdisciplinary, Pedagogy, Popular Culture, Aesthetics, Anthropology/Sociology, Classical Studies, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Film, TV, & Media, Food Studies, History, Philosophy
Event Date: 2021-03-11 to 2021-03-14 Abstract Due: 2020-09-30

This roundtable calls for a timely interrogation of our professional vocabulary of online teaching and learning in the humanities. Rather than simply providing an occasion to use the professional vocabulary of online teaching and learning in the humanities, this roundtable offers an opportunity to examine how the keywords of online teaching and learning challenge existing assumptions and/or construct new assumptions about what constitutes the humanities, and how it can or should be taught. Proposals focusing on a single keyword or proposals explicating a range of terms and broader discursive trends are welcome. Virtual proposals are welcome.
