TEACHING AND LEARNING AFTER THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
This special issue will involve scholars, researchers, teachers, instructional designers and learners in a scientific debate about the emergent topic of distance education.
Educators and researchers from all over the world have experienced the challenges and changes in teaching and learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure the continuity in education, schools and universities have implemented different modes of instructional delivery that include emergency remote teaching, remote teaching combined with face-to-face classroom instruction, accompanied by sudden switches between face-to-face and virtual teaching as needed. Common issues in education such as access and equity, engagement, teaching methods, assessment, and emotional and mental health have become exacerbated challenges when various modes of instruction were implemented during the pandemic teaching. We would like to invite papers focusing on a reflection on these challenges and the corresponding changes that emerged from the teaching through the pandemic to inform educators at all levels to prepare for teaching after the pandemic. The papers will be peer-reviewed and will be published in December 2021.
