The Latchkey is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal devoted to the concept of the New Woman, covering the lives and writings of New Women authors and figures, the representation of the New Woman in literature, culture, art, and society, proto-feminism and early feminist journalism.

We currently are accepting submissions for our Winter 2013 issue:  articles, short biographical essays, and book reviews that promote original and innovative scholarship in the interdisciplinary fields associated with study of the New Woman.  Announcements for upcoming conferences and websites of interest also welcome as are brief discussions about inventive approaches to teaching late Victorian and Edwardian materials.  Submission requirements and style guidelines can be found on the journal’s website.  Please contact the editors at unbolt@gmail.com with any questions or interests.
