Veterans Studies is a growing field of research that addresses the significant impact of military personnel transitioning from active duty to civilian life. This standing session at the Pacific Ancient and Modern Langauge Association (PAMLA) annual conference invites papers that explore any aspect of military service in literature, including those that reflect the conference theme of “Shifting Perspectives.” This session invites papers that explore the many facets of military experience exhibited in literature, theater, film, and poetry written about or by military veterans.

Potential presenters should submit abstract proposals using the online submission form (you will have to go to https://pamla.ballastacademic.com to login or create an account first). The deadline to submit presentation proposals is May 31, 2023.
