Il prossimo numero di H-ermes sara? dedicato al tema “fantascienza come genere mediale”. L’obiettivo del numero e? di indagare le esperienze delle narrative fantascientifiche in ogni diramazione mediatica (letteratura, cinema, serie tv, fumetti, videogames, ecc.) in un momento storico in cui l’orizzonte fantascientifico appare sempre piu? prossimo alle occorrenze del presente.
I saggi potranno approfondire, tra le altre, le seguenti questioni:
- il ruolo dei media (e del giornalismo) nella letteratura fantascientifica;
- le tematiche comunicative nei testi transmediali della sci-fi;
- il ruolo dei calcolatori elettronici e dei robot nella fantascienza novecentesca e
l’avvento dell’Intelligenza Artificiale nel XXI secolo;
- il potere comunicativo nei testi (e nelle trasposizioni cine-televisive) di Asimov, Dick
e altri classici della sci-fi;
- le grandi saghe sci-fi come ecosistemi narrativi;
- interpretazioni del cyberpunk;
- i classici del fumetto di sci-fi da Buck Rogers a L’Eternauta, da Nathan Never a
Annihilator.
Referees
Ogni saggio sara? valutato da almeno due referees anonimi. I referees potranno essere membri del Comitato Scientifico, del Comitato di Redazione, o studiosi esterni.
Submission
Invio di un abstract alla redazione (max 3.000 battute) entro il 1° marzo 2025 e consegna dei saggi (fino a 35 mila caratteri, spazi e bibliografia inclusi) entro il 1° maggio 2025.
ATTENZIONE: i saggi non potranno superare i 40 mila caratteri, spazi, abstract e bibliografia inclusi. E? possibile sottoporre alla valutazione anche video-saggi della durata massima di 15 minuti. Le proposte vanno inviate all'indirizzo e-mail: h-ermes@unisalento.it

The next issue of H-ermes will be dedicated to the theme “science fiction as a media genre”.
The aim of this issue is to explore the experiences of science fiction narratives in every media branch (literature, cinema, TV series, comics, video games, etc.) at a historical moment when the science fiction horizon appears increasingly close to the occurrences of the present.
The essays may delve into, among others, the following questions:
- the role of media (and journalism) in science fiction literature;
- communicative themes in the transmedia texts of sci-fi;
- the role of electronic computers and robots in 20th-century science fiction and the
advent of Artificial Intelligence in the 21st century;
- the communicative power in the texts (and cinematic-televisual adaptations) of
Asimov, Dick, and other sci-fi classics;
- the great sci-fi sagas as narrative ecosystems;
- interpretations of cyberpunk;
- the classics of sci-fi comics from Buck Rogers to L'Eternauta, from Nathan Never to
Annihilator.
Referees
Each essay will be evaluated by at least two anonymous referees. The referees may be members of the Scientific Committee, the Editorial Board, or external scholars.
Submission
Submission of an abstract to the editorial office (max 600 words) by March 1, 2025. Submission of paper (up to 7000 words, including spaces and bibliography) by May 1, 2025.
ATTENTION: the definitive version of the essays must not exceed 8000 words, including spaces, abstract and bibliography. Video essays of up to 15 minutes in length may also be submitted for evaluate.
