The Role of Authentic Materials in ELT Concept Note- Critical pedagogy has emerged as a transformative educational philosophy that emphasizes the importance of empowering learners through reflection, social justice, and the development of critical thinking skills. In English Language Teaching (ELT), integrating critical pedagogy involves more than just teaching English as a linguistic system; it requires fostering an environment where students are encouraged to question dominant ideologies, reflect on their own experiences, and engage in dialogue about social and political issues. This concept note outlines the need to explore and implement critical pedagogy in ELT to empower learners to become active, informed participants in society. Submission Guidelines: 1.
