Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Preparations for the 2025 annual meeting of the International T. S. Eliot Society continue, and we'd love to have you. The dates are July 2-5.

Although the deadline for paper proposals has passed, there are still plenty of spaces available in our peer seminars.

These are:  T. S. Eliot and Irish Writing, led by Tom Walker of Trinity College Dublin (recently expanded from "T. S. Eliot and Irish Poetry");

Creative Writing, led by Kit Fryatt of Dublin City University;

The Poetics of T. S. Eliot, led by Vincent Sherry of Washington University in St. Louis;

and T. S. Eliot in/and Translation, led by Nicoletta Asciuto of the University of York and Michelle A. Taylor of Magdalene College, Cambridge.

In peer seminars, participants write short position papers on the designated topic (or original creative work in the case of Dr. Fryatt's seminar) and circulate these ahead of the conference to the other participants. When the seminar meets, the leader guides a two-hour discussion of all the submitted work. These events are always collegial, engaging, and productive, and they provide an ideal opportunity to try out new ideas and get useful feedback on work in progress.

If you're at all interested, I encourage you to consider signing up. All you need to do is send an email indicating your preference of seminar to tseliotsociety@gmail.com to reserve your spot. Then register for the conference and join us in Dublin.

Stay tuned for conference updates. A draft program is in the works, and it is shaping up to be delightful!

With every good wish,

Patrick Query
