Cultural History

This panel seeks to explore the cultural, political, or social intersections that exist between text and context, including interdisciplinary aspects of culture. Papers are sought that explore the relationships between history and film, history and literature, or history and any other aesthetic tradition.  Submissions that not only practice cultural history but also critically reflect upon that practice are encouraged.  Specific topics related to the conference theme of “Palimpsests: Memory and Oblivion” are encouraged.
