Manuscripts and Textual Criticism (Panel / In-Person)
Presiding Officer: Kathryn Vulic (Western Washington University)

The Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA) is seeking proposals for a special session, Manuscripts and Textual Criticism. This session is open to all papers that explore some aspect of Manuscript Studies and/or that engage with the challenges and exciting discoveries that arise during the course of working with manuscript materials and/or variants in print materials. The organizers especially encourage papers attuned to some facet of the conference theme, "Palimpsests: Memory and Oblivion." The 2025 Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association conference will take place Thursday, November 20 - Sunday, November 23 in San Francisco, CA. Those interested in participating may submit proposals here at the conference website.
