We are delighted to invite submissions for forthcoming volumes of our interdisciplinary book series, Contemporary Literary Studies on Language and Literature. This series seeks original, thought-provoking contributions that offer critical insights into literature through a wide array of theoretical and methodological frameworks.
We encourage submissions that engage with literary texts across genres—including but not limited to the novel, poetry, drama, life writing, and hybrid or experimental forms. Contributions should reflect rigorous scholarship and may draw from diverse perspectives such as classical and mythological paradigms, feminist and gender theory, postcolonial and decolonial studies, as well as newer critical modes including ecocriticism, disability studies, and cultural studies.
We are particularly interested in work that fosters interdisciplinary dialogue, challenges conventional boundaries, and embraces intersectional approaches to literary inquiry.
Thematic Strands (not limited to):
Literary reimaginings and reinterpretations of myth and folklore
Speculative fiction, fantasy, and science fiction through critical lenses
Literary responses to ecological collapse, pandemics, and global crises
Narratives of migration, displacement, exile, and transnational identity
Feminist, gender, and decolonial critiques of literary canon and genre
Literature and material culture, affect theory, and the senses
Memory studies, trauma narratives, and intergenerational storytelling
Religion, ritual, and sacred texts in literary expression
Language politics, multilingualism, and translation in world literature
Bodies and embodiment in literature, including illness, pain, and healing
Literature and technology: AI, cybernetics, posthumanism
Archive, orality, and indigenous knowledge systems in literary contexts
Visual and performative dimensions of literature and adaptation studies
Intersections of race, class, gender, and disability in narrative form
Anti-colonial utopias, dystopias, and future imaginaries in literature
Narratives of survival, resistance, and resilience in literature from the Global South

Submissions from diverse cultural and linguistic contexts are strongly encouraged. Comparative and interdisciplinary methodologies are especially welcome.
