CALL FOR PAPERS - SUBMISSION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

The Editorial Team of “Ágora. Estudos Clássicos em Debate”, an open-access journal of classical scholarship, welcomes the submission of academic articles and book reviews, on Graeco-Roman antiquity, generally with a philological, literary, historical, or cultural focus. It will also accept studies of classical reception.

All submissions to this Journal are double-blind-refereed; and the refereeing process generally takes about three months from the date of initial submission, but is of course dependent upon the efficiency of reviewers

Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this Journal.

All submissions should be sent electronically, in both Word and PDF format files, to

DLC-agora@ua.pt or by the platform of the Journal.

Please see https://proa.ua.pt/index.php/agora/about/submissions

Authors should remove all references within the text that might identify them to referees; this is the author's responsibility rather than the editors.

Each paper published is assigned a DOI® number.
