Organization: University of South Carolina Upstate
Event: Call for Book Chapters
Categories: Miscellaneous
Event Date: 2026-08-05 Abstract Due: 2026-03-05

Scope of the Book: Chapters are invited for this upcoming peer-reviewed book. Nomophobia (NMP) or No-Mobile-Phone-Phobia is the fear of losing access or communication to the individual’s world via smart phone or internet. This social issue affects all ages and genders and can cause anxiety and other health problems such as depression or panic disorder. There are also relationships to educational outcomes, socialization, motivation and other successes. The book calls for theoretical and empirically sound contributions that are focused on the varied aspects of this modern phenomenon. Expansions on gaps in the current literature are encouraged. The focus will be on pre-school age (2-3) children through college age individuals. Qualitative and quantitative methodologies will be reviewed.Editors
