Pedagogicon 2026: Teaching & Learning Essential Skills for Tomorrow’s Graduates

CPE invites proposals for presentations, workshops, panels, and posters that explore innovative teaching and learning practices centered on preparing students with the 10 essential skills needed for success in the future of work, citizenship, and lifelong learning, as designed through the Kentucky Graduate Profile.
Submissions should connect scholarly research, classroom practice, and institutional initiatives, with particular emphasis on practical and evidence-supported approaches that are forward-looking, transferable, and scalable across disciplines. We welcome proposals that address, but are not limited to:
Evidence-supported strategies for integrating the 10 essential skills into course design, assessment, learning assessments, and instructional practices.
Research on the impact of essential skill development on student learning, persistence, career readiness, and workplace success.
Innovative uses of technology and GenAI in fostering essential skill development for the future.
Partnerships between higher education, community, and industry to support student preparation related to the 10 essential skills.
Faculty development models and programs that encourage adoption of essential skills teaching.
Student-led or collaborative approaches to future-focused essential skill learning.
Alumni and employer perspectives on essential skill learning experiences and applications.
