Third International Scientific Conference "Shared Reading Aloud"

Over the past decade, shared reading aloud has attracted increasing attention within the fields of literacy studies, children's literature, education, and social research. The III International Scientific Conference “Shared Reading Aloud” welcomes theoretical and empirical research contributions addressing reading and shared reading aloud across diverse educational, cultural, and social contexts.
While the conference is highly interdisciplinary, this call specifically invites papers exploring the intersection of collective reading practices with reader formation and youth texts.
Relevant Topics Include (but are not limited to):
-Developments in children’s, adolescent, and young adult literature.
-Research on readers, reader formation, and reading habits.
-Empirical evidence concerning the effects of reading aloud in school and educational contexts.
-Pedagogies of reading and person-centred literature teaching.
-Bibliodiversity, narrative plurality, and inclusive education.
-Dialogic and collaborative approaches to shared reading.
Submission Guidelines
Format: Authors must submit a long abstract between 2,000 and 4,000 characters (including spaces).
Language Policy: To foster international dialogue, abstracts must be submitted in English, paired with a version in either Italian, French, or Spanish. The conference presentations will accept all four languages.
Review Process: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review.
