INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, Business Analytics (BA) is an emergent field with a substantial impact on our world today. Approaches from all mathematical and computer sciences areas are involved in this field. BA is probably the most important manifestation of the knowledge economy and knowledge society. Transforming data in knowledge and using it harmonically in Decision Making is not, anymore, a luxury of the most prestigious companies and organizations, but an obligation to get competitive products and high-quality services. Papers with soft computing-based solutions for BA applications in significant business decision-making problems will be joined in this issue.
Eurekas is a multidisciplinary community of scientists of more than 60 research groups of 20 countries of America and Europe, which make scientific contributions in BA. Eurekas Community joins Mathematicians, Computer Scientists, Administrators, Engineers, and Social Scientists and uses hybridization as the core strategy towards transdisciplinary research, its declared vocation.
Soft Computing to Business Analytics: Theory and Practice is an editorial initiative of the Eurekas Community (eurekascommunity.org), and their mentioned strategies are present in it. Papers with Soft Computing approaches for BA and their applications to pressing business problems will be joined in this issue.
