Crossref is actively seeking abstracts that highlight the connections within the Research Nexus vision ahead of its #Crossref2023 annual meeting and board election scheduled for October 31, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM UTC.
Members and the broader community are encouraged to contribute their experiences and insights. Opportunities during the event include a limited number of flash-talk slots, each lasting up to 5 minutes, and a virtual poster session set to feature on the community forum.
Abstract submissions, capped at 250 words, should resonate with key themes such as:
- Our better metadata story (for members, service providers and others, who changed their processes to capture or curate more and better quality metadata)
- Preserving the integrity of the scholarly record together (for individual of collaborative initiatives that succeeded in systematic amendments of scholarly metadata)
- Globally connected and inclusive Research Nexus (for stories about enriching influence of globally diverse metadata contributions to our global network)
- Acting on the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure (for organisations who adopted or are considering adopting POSI – on key changes or actions they've taken towards improving their POSI performance)
Crossref welcomes abstracts in any language, with a submission deadline of September 25, 2023. Selected contributors will be notified about their poster presentation or flash-talk slot by October 6. You may also register join in this event.
